Vaccination is one of the most effective public health tools available — protecting individuals from serious illness and contributing to the health of the broader community. At Haan Health, we offer a full range of immunisation services for patients of all ages, from newborns to older adults.
Our GPs and nursing staff administer vaccinations in a safe, comfortable environment, with careful attention to your vaccination history, current health status, and any specific needs or concerns you may have.
National Immunisation Program (NIP) — Children & Adolescents We follow the full Australian National Immunisation Program schedule, providing all government-funded vaccines from birth through to adolescence. This includes vaccines protecting against diseases such as measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), whooping cough, diphtheria, tetanus, polio, hepatitis B, Hib, pneumococcal disease, rotavirus, meningococcal, HPV (Year 7–8), and others. We also provide catch-up vaccinations for children who have fallen behind on their schedule.
Adult Vaccinations Immunity from some childhood vaccines can wane over time. We provide adult booster immunisations including dTpa (diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough), MMR, and shingles vaccines (Shingrix, for eligible adults aged 65+). Pneumococcal and meningococcal vaccines are also available for adults in at-risk groups.
Annual Influenza (Flu) Vaccination The influenza vaccine is updated each year to match the circulating strains and is recommended for everyone aged 6 months and over. It is free under the National Immunisation Program for children aged 6 months – under 5 years, adults 65+, pregnant women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and those with certain medical conditions. Our clinic typically begins flu vaccinations from March–April each year.
COVID-19 Vaccinations We provide COVID-19 vaccinations in line with current ATAGI recommendations. Please contact our clinic to confirm current availability and eligibility.
Travel Vaccinations Planning to travel internationally? Depending on your destination, you may need vaccinations for diseases such as hepatitis A, hepatitis B, typhoid, yellow fever, Japanese encephalitis, cholera, or rabies. Our GPs provide travel health consultations to assess your destination-specific risk and recommend the appropriate immunisations and preventive medications. We recommend booking a travel health consultation at least 6–8 weeks before your departure date.
Pregnancy Vaccinations Certain vaccines are particularly important during pregnancy to protect both mother and baby. The whooping cough (pertussis) vaccine is recommended during each pregnancy, and influenza vaccination is strongly recommended. Our GPs provide pregnancy vaccination as part of antenatal care.
Occupational Vaccinations Some professions require specific vaccinations. Our GPs can assess and administer occupational vaccinations for healthcare workers, childcare workers, and others who require occupational immunisation documentation.
