Dr. Sonu Haikerwal is the Founder, Sole Director, and Principal General Practitioner at Haan Health Medical Centre. With over 25 years of medical experience across three continents—India, the UK, and Australia—Dr. Sonu is known for her compassionate, thorough, and holistic approach to patient care.
A graduate of the prestigious AIIMS College in New Delhi, she went on to complete her physician training and obtain her MRCP in London. She also holds qualifications in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DRCOG) and Family Planning, bringing a broad scope of expertise to general practice.
Dr. Sonu has served as a Practice Partner in the UK, and since settling in Australia, she has built a highly respected reputation as both a clinician and medical educator. For more than 15 years, she has taught medical students and GP Registrars through affiliations with Bond University, Griffith University, and General Practice Training Queensland.

A passionate advocate for holistic health, Dr. Sonu believes that true healing goes beyond prescriptions. This philosophy is at the core of her work with Kiran Wellness Retreats and LifeScript, where she integrates physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing into care. In 2024, she was recognised as the Gold Coast Bulletin Women of the Year – Wellness Warrior for her commitment to wellness in the community.
